Curaleaf International has announced the launch of the Curaleaf Education Platform in Poland, giving healthcare professionals across the country free access to structured, clinical training in medical cannabis.

Available at curaleafeducation.com, the platform delivers a comprehensive learning curriculum spanning foundational science, core clinical knowledge and specialist therapeutic areas. The syllabus is tailored to the distinct roles of family doctors, consultant-level clinicians and pharmacists within the regulated prescribing framework in Poland.

Medical cannabis has been legal in Poland since 2017, and there are approximately 250,000 patients prescribed this medicine, yet formal education on the endocannabinoid system and cannabis-based medicines remains limited within mainstream medical training. As patient awareness grows, clinicians are increasingly encountering questions about medical cannabis without access to structured learning resources to support informed, confident conversations and clinical guidelines.

The courses have been reviewed by the Curaleaf Advisory Board, made up of international consultants, ensuring all material is verified, grounded in current evidence and aligned with local prescribing frameworks. The syllabus is structured across five courses:

  • Foundations of Medical Cannabis: the science of phytocannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system
  • Core Knowledge for Clinical Practice: products and formulations, safety profile and risk management, and prescribing and clinical management
  • Specialist Conditions: Evidence and Application: dedicated modules on
    • Pain (including Chronic Pain, Endometriosis, Rheumatology and Palliative Care)
    • Neurology (including Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy, MS and Insomnia)
    • Psychiatry (including Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, and ASD)

The content draws on global research as well as Curaleaf’s real-world evidence database. The UK Medical Cannabis Registry, the largest clinical database of its kind in Europe, has over 55,000 patients. With over 40 peer reviewed publications, translating this evidence into practical guidance for everyday clinical decision-making, real-world evidence supports safe and informed prescribing.
